I cooked and baked next to nothing last week. Between work and travel, there simply wasn’t time. Instead of dwelling on how much I hate that, let’s just skip those categories in this week’s newsletter and go straight to drinks. I’ve got plenty to say about booze.
I was in Portland, Maine, over the weekend for a good friend’s wedding, and the party itself was more like a short breather in the middle of two days of gluttony. … the Blueshine Lemonade from Maine Craft Distilling may be the best canned cocktail I’ve ever imbibed. It’s a little sweeter than what I usually go for, but what’s to not to like about blueberry lemonade. I’m about to put in an online order for a couple four-packs, and also maybe for a bottle of their blueberry liquor to try to make these at home.
